Now depending on how it cycles and again location numerous times in colder climates with higher indoor load I've set the cut in quite a bit higher to keep the fan running longer. Add dirty filters, coils, lack of airflow across the evap, cooler econ air hitting the evap and other such possible conditions one may want to bump the cut out up to 230 psi. Given those numbers in normal return conditions one could 'safely' operate at a 365 cut in and a 210 cut out. Since we know we don't want to freeze the evap and that we need 100 psi difference across the txv/metering device.ģ5 deg F = ~ 108 psi (added a couple of degrees for buffer) Most units design outdoor ambient is 90 deg F and depending on the coil efficiency, but I'd try to run lower depending on climate and conditions mentioned above. ![]() How hot did the motor get prior to the install? The motor will run hotter with a fan speed control on it.Īs to your question on the pressure to set to it depends on the application, do you have adequate return air load to potentially run lower, or do you need to make up for low load at times and run it higher? 0-50% cooling demand is digital scroll, 50 to 80 is Stage 2 on off compressor. Regarding the digital scroll, I got it tuned right up with that VDC signal, I used the sequence that is in the Copeland instructions actually. I'm curious how it varies the speed of the fan motor? Thanks for the input, I need to research the ICM333 a bit more. #AAON UNIT BAC NETCONTROL HOW TO#Once I understood how to give it a proper demand signal they worked quite well. The scroll control board did a few odd things the way they wanted to see the VDC signal. I assume you will be taking advantage of the digital scroll and have that figured out? I found about 6 AAON units that way about 8 years ago. The P66 is okay, but sometimes tapping into the liquid/discharge line and tube lengths can be a hassle, this is where the ICM can be advantageous as you can use temperature inputs. ![]() Depending on the needed redundancy the 333 may be fine. Plenty of options, but the ICM333 would control both. If the condenser fan is controlling on/off and it works I would just add one these. #AAON UNIT BAC NETCONTROL REGISTRATION#If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact support.
